How this is built
Five sources, combined rather than picked between. Four measure real matches and one is a named player's ranking, which is included because a tier list that is only a win rate ladder misses everything a human notices.
Each source is reduced to a position rather than a raw value, because win rates from different suppliers are not comparable: one smooths thin samples toward 50%, another reports them raw. A hero's score is the average of the sources that ranked them, so a source with no entry for a hero counts as no opinion rather than a bad one. Where that happened, the hero's tile carries the count in its corner.

How is this tier list made?
It combines five sources rather than trusting one. Four of them measure real matches and the fifth is a named player's ranking. Each source is reduced to a position rather than a raw number, because win rates from different suppliers are not directly comparable, and a hero's final score is the average of the sources that ranked them. Statistical data is based on external APIs and publicly available information. It may differ from official data.
Why is a hero missing from a source?
Not every source publishes every hero. When one of them has no entry for a hero, that source is treated as having no opinion rather than as ranking them last, so a gap in coverage never reads as weakness. Each hero shows how many of the five ranked them.
Does a high tier mean I should pick that hero?
Not on its own. A tier is an average across a whole player base, and a matchup is specific. A B tier hero who hard counters the enemy carry is a better pick than an S tier who does not, which is what the counter pages on this site are for.
How often does it change?
The underlying numbers refresh weekly, and the roster is current as of Season 9.5. A balance patch can move heroes several places, so treat a tier as this week's reading rather than a permanent verdict.
