About

MetaCounter exists for the player who is losing right now.

Someone on the other team is ruining your game. You want to know what to swap to, and you want it before the next round starts. That is the whole brief.

The market for game statistics is crowded, and every site in it is built for the returning power user who bookmarks a dashboard. MetaCounter is built for the stranger arriving from a search like "who counters Wolverine", mid-match, on a second monitor. The answer goes in the first screen. Depth is welcome below it.

Today that covers 3 games: Marvel Rivals, Rainbow Six Siege and WARDOGS. Each gets a tier list, a page per character or weapon, and articles when there is something worth writing.

The two rules that matter

No invented statistics, and always say whose call it is. This site runs no telemetry pipeline against any game. Win rates, pick rates and ban shares come from community sources and are labelled as such. Where we do arithmetic on them, the page says so. Where a ranking is an opinion, it is attributed to the person or site whose opinion it is. A matchup note we wrote ourselves names the specific mechanic that decides the fight, never a vibe.

Counters are authored in one direction. "A counters B" and "B is countered by A" are one fact, so it is stored once and the reverse is derived. The site cannot contradict itself on a matchup, because the data has nowhere to hold a contradiction.

What is automated, and what is a person's call

The snapshots refresh weekly, automatically: win rates, ban shares, map splits, published loadouts, weapon prices. Tier lists are built mechanically from those inputs and from named published rankings, and the build fails rather than ships if the data does not pass its own checks.

What is not automated: which sources are trusted and why, how a source is labelled, every matchup note that names a mechanic, and every article. Those are read off the games' own published pages and written by hand. When a source and the game disagree, the game wins and the page says so.

The editor

Danai is the editor and writer behind MetaCounter. He runs a Bangkok-based media studio focused on Southeast Asian gaming content, and this is the second reference site he has built on the same discipline: a fast, no-fluff answer for players who climb, with the sourcing written out in full. The pipeline that refreshes the figures is his, and so are the judgement calls in it.

Corrections, disagreements and tips are the most useful thing you can send. A correction with a source goes to the front of the queue. Get in touch.
