Marvel Rivals Season 9.5 Map Guide: Who Over-performs and Where

Map win rates are usually presented uselessly. Rank heroes by raw win rate on a map and you get the same strong heroes on all seventeen of them, which tells you nothing about any map. Every number here is a hero's win rate on that map minus that hero's own average everywhere, so it only answers one question: do they over-perform here?

That subtraction is our arithmetic over someone else's counts, not a published figure. Worth saying plainly before you act on it.

Thebes, where the sample is still thin

The most interesting map in the snapshot is also the least settled. Thebes carries about 11,000 matches against roughly 21,000 on the busiest one. Those are matches rather than rows: each match puts twelve heroes on the field, so the raw sample count is twelve times higher. Treat the swings below as early and large rather than settled.

Those are some of the widest gaps on any map in the game, which is exactly what a small sample looks like. Check back after a few more weeks of matches before treating it as a rule.

The busiest maps, where the numbers are solid

These carry the most recorded play, so the deltas are smaller and worth more.

These win rates are shrunk toward 50% in proportion to sample size at the source, so a rarely played hero reads closer to even than it actually played.

What to do with a two point swing

Not much on its own, and that is the honest answer. A delta of one or two points is real but small next to picking into a matchup you lose. Use the map as a tiebreak between two heroes you were already happy to play, not as a reason to pick something you cannot use.
