How the WARDOGS Weapon Tier List Is Built, and What It Cannot Tell You

There is no match data for WARDOGS. Bulkhead publishes no weapon statistics, no pick rates and no win rates, and no third party has a telemetry pipeline behind this game. So every tier list in existence, including the one on this site, is either one person's opinion or an average of several.

That is worth saying plainly because the alternative is a page that looks like measurement and is not. Ours says whose opinions it is made of, on every row.

The sources

Each of these publishes a complete weapon ranking under its own name. Two carry a personal byline, two are databases, and two of them sell things, which we say on the tier list page itself rather than burying. The test for getting in is attribution: a ranking somebody puts their name on is a fact about what that person or site thinks, which we can state and credit. An anonymous list is a claim with nothing to attach it to.

How five scales become one letter

The sources do not share a scale. One uses five bands, the rest use four, and their top bands hold different numbers of weapons. Averaging the letters directly would be meaningless, so each source's placement is reduced to a position within that source's own scale first, then averaged across the sources that placed the weapon. The letters S to F are ours, and each source's own band is kept and shown per weapon so you can see where the agreement is thin.

A weapon nobody placed falls through rather than scoring zero. That matters: scoring a gap would read as a bad weapon when it actually means nobody wrote about it.

Why some weapons carry no letter

A weapon needs placements from at least 3 of the 5 sources before we give it a letter. Currently 7 weapons fall under that line.

The threshold exists because averaging over one voice is not an average. A single generous placement produces a perfect score, and a weapon nobody else rated would then outrank one that four sources argued about. Those weapons still have pages, still show every recorded figure, and name which sources did place them.

The part that is about timing, not method

The list labels itself with the builds its sources were actually reading: Closed Beta 1 to Early Access, 4 of 5 sources still pre-launch.

That label is not decoration. WARDOGS shipped into Early Access on 10 September 2026, and the sources have not all revisited their rankings since. A list that called itself current while resting on beta reads would be claiming something it cannot support, so the page states the spread instead. The label is derived from the source dates rather than written by hand, so it corrects itself as they republish. It changed on its own this week when one source revised for Early Access.

What the list is not

It is not a measurement, and no amount of averaging turns opinions into one. It is not a substitute for the price column either, which is the argument the rest of this site keeps making: a weapon's letter tells you what it does in a fight, and the vendor tells you what losing it does to your account. Those are different questions and the letter only answers the first.

It also has nothing to say about attachments, armour interactions or headshot multipliers, because nothing we can corroborate publishes those.
