Class analysisEarly Access

Nobody plans to win a WARDOGS fight with a pistol. The pistol is for the moment the plan stops working: the reload you did not have time for, the primary that ran dry. That makes it the strangest purchase in the game, because you pay for it every life whether or not you ever draw it.

Every pistol, cheapest first

Shots to kill and time to kill are our arithmetic, not a measurement: the recorded damage against an unarmoured 100 HP target, body shots only, with no damage falloff over distance. Armour, headshots and range all move the real number, and nobody publishes figures for them that three sources agree on, so we leave them out rather than guess. A dash in the table means the figure is not recorded or the weapon is not modelled. The unlock column needs its own warning: One database publishes the unlock fee and another says the reported fees disagree, so it is the least settled figure here.

A sidearm is a tax on every life

The primary is the gun you chose to fight with. The sidearm is added on top of it, every time, so its price is best read as a percentage of your loadout rather than on its own. The cheapest pistol on the vendor is the GGX 17 ($200), and the most expensive gun in the class costs whatever the bottom row of the table says.

On a fresh account, that difference is real money across a session. The case for paying more is the fight the pistol actually decides, so it is worth asking how often that fight happens to you before you pay for it on every spawn.

What you get for the money

On our arithmetic the quickest pistol kill belongs to the GGX 18 (200ms), and the hardest-hitting single shot recorded in the class is the Deagle (49 damage). Those two describe different pistols for a different situation: one for the panic at close range, one for a deliberate shot when you have a moment.

What the published rankings say

GGX 17 sits at F on our list, placed by 4 of 6 sources. GGX 18 sits at B on our list, placed by 5 of 6 sources. Judge sits at D on our list, placed by 4 of 6 sources. M1911 sits at F on our list, placed by 5 of 6 sources. Deagle sits at D on our list, placed by 5 of 6 sources.

Pistols get placed by fewer sources than primaries, because most published rankings are about the gun you fight with. A missing letter here usually means nobody ranked it, not that it was ranked low.

Community-recorded from the in-game vendor, cross-checked across independent databases. Where they disagree on a price, the figure Bulkhead printed in its patch notes settles it when one database already matches it. Every other number is the databases' reading, and Early Access can retune any of them. Tier placements are read live from our own list, which is built from 6 attributed published rankings rather than from telemetry, so they move as that list does.
