Counters
Rainbow Six counters are gadget interactions, rules of the game rather than statistics, so every pairing here comes from the two operators' own kit pages: the mechanism from whoever wins it, the gadget it beats from whoever brings it.
Sledge has to close to swinging range with the hammer. The CCE Shield tasers him remotely on the approach and Clash takes the fight from distance, which is the one range his gadget has nothing at.
Sledge's hammer makes new holes in floors as easily as walls, and a mat under one turns his own shortcut into a hold.
Sledge's page says he excels at flanking, and Black Eyes pre-placed outside cover the routes a flanker uses, so the flank arrives announced.
Goyo's plan is that somebody shoots the Volcan Shield and burns for it. Sledge opens the wall beside it with the hammer, so the shield is neither triggered nor in the way.
Oryx pays health to dash through breakable walls and rotate. Sledge opens the same soft surfaces for free and faster, so the rotations Oryx is trusted to make become Attacker lanes.
